Community Connect Maine is initiating a Collaborative Postcard Project sponsored by Maine Developmental Disabilities Council. The project is to encourage constituents to contact legislators after the election to introduce themselves. Learn who are your legislators and let them learn about you. 1. Click on the link and download the 81/2 by 11 postcard page.
2. Print the front, flip over and print the back on the same paper.
3. On the message side of the card sign your name and address. You may also write in a personal message by hand if you wish. You could indicate which organization(s) that support people with disabilities that you are a member of including ones in your local area.
4. Next fold the 81/2 by 11 page in half with the message on the inside. Staple or tape it with small piece of tape on the outside edge.
5. On the other side, fill in where the address of your Senator or Representative and your return address. Place a stamp where indicated.
6. Follow the directions below to find your Senator or Representative and their address:

1. Identify your Senator and Representative at: http://legislature.maine.gov/house/townlist.htm
• Find your town with the above link.
• If more than one Representative represents your town, click onto the box that says “What to do if there is more than one representative in the town”
• Determine who your Representative is by where you live.
2. Find your Senator and Representative’s address
• On the same link giving the town list, click onto your Senator and Representative’s page. Their address will be listed.
